Happy Holidays Everyone! Yes, and Merry Christmas! This year, I've been a little bah humbug. That happens when your kids grow up and they've moved out on their own and you feel you are floundering as far as "your new role". So I'm going to work each day on making a small change for the better. And today, it's saying in a festive voice, "Merry Christmas!" I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday season and may you all know the best gift of all, Jesus.

Red Dress

I'm heading to Disney today! I'm so excited! It's the happiest place on Earth. Hubby and I are going to drive down. Actually, hubby worked last night, so I'm going to drive and he's going to be sleeping next to me in the passenger seat! We were going to fly, but to catch a car from the airport to Shades of Green would cost $100.00! Isn't that nuts? What happened to the Disney bus? We even asked the hotel and they gave us the number for the car service! Yikes! Since we like to drive and like having our vehicle, and it's going to cost less than $100.00 in gas, we decided to drive. Now that I don't have a job, we need to do things the "economical" way! It takes about 6 1/2 hours from south Atlanta, so that's really not so bad. I won't be posting for the next few days as I will be enjoying my escape...

When I saw this stamp, I fell in love with it! The dress is so elegant. The stamp is from Stamps Happen, Inc. I used my Copics to color the image. The colors that I used are R29, R27, R22 and R20. Add R24 if you have it, but at the time, I did not. I also used C1 and C3 to place the gray edge around the sides. Gray CS is used for the card base. I used the Textile Cuttlebug folder with the black CS just to add some additional texture. I added some shiny bling in the four corners. The bow is two pieces of ribbon that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I hope you enjoy! "I'm just sayin'..."

My first card is a fall card. The tree is stamped with a Stampin Up stamp set. Then I used Flower Soft, Autumn colors to make the leaves of the tree. I used the Gold Leafing Pen from Krylon for the gold stripe down the right side.

First Post

Good Morning Everyone! This is my first post. Because it's my first post, it's basically a post on teaching myself "how to post..." This blog will be to heal my spirit and exhibit my creativity, for what it's worth. I hope everyone has a great day!
