Graduation Announcements
Out of necessity, and because I knew I could, I decided to make my daughter's graduation annoucements instead of buying them from the school. Don't get me wrong... I do have a "formal" one to place in her scrapbook. But I wanted something more personal. So I came up with the idea of using a picture. My first thought was to use it as a watermark, but I didn't like how grainy the picture turned out. So I printed the picture professionally. I then took a piece of vellum and secured it with small gold brads over the photo (no see through tape here!) so that it muted the picture. I printed her name on the vellum from my printer and immediately used gold embossing powder to give it shine. I printed the inside of the card and attached the photo to the outside front with redline tape. It's so beautiful. Of course, the subject in the picture is why it's so beautiful! I hope you like it.
Recipe Swap!
I participated in a recipe card swap with the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group. It was a lot of fun trying to figure out my "look" and also which recipe I was going to use. When I received my swaps in the mail, I was so excited! Thank you to the ladies that participated. I loved all of my cards and am participating in the next swap.
Here is a picture of what my recipe card looked like. My daughter liked that Tilda was leaning because she said it makes her look "sassy"... I hope you like it.
