I have been crafting since I was a young child. I've run the gamut from cross stitching to quilting to candle making to rug hooking. I even loved painting by numbers! And without realizing it, I was scrapbooking prior to it becoming archival safe and all the rage! I saved all of my ticket stubs and mementos from each trip I took while growing up and even had keepsakes from dates I had with my husband. I was intruduced to Creative Memories scrapbooking in 1995 and I've been scrapbooking and making cards since. While I initially REFUSED to start stamping, I didn't hold out for long. It's just too much fun to color as if I was 8 years old again.
I am a technology professional who lost my job in 2009. After 20 years of hard work and dedication, it was time to invest in a little creative healing and rekindle my creative side. I had all but forgotten (or didn't have time for) any creativeness within. So these last two years have been a great reconnection, of some sort. It has been great to find myself.
I have three children that I'm proud of... a 25 year old son who serves our nation in the United States Air Force. A 23 year old daughter who is in her senior year of college and graduating in May 20117! And my youngest is 19 and in her freshman year of college. But my greatest accomplishment is that I've been happily married for 27+ years to my best friend.
