Well, this is the week that I go on my very first art retreat! When I say "art retreat", I don't mean "scrapbooking with friends". Not that there is anything wrong with that, because I do so love going on retreat at Grand Oak Retreat in Alabama every year! Cindy, the proprietor takes wonderful care of us and makes oh-so-delicious means. But back to my topic.
This Thursday, I will be heading up to Asheville, NC for a Once Upon a Prarie Fairy Event with Jenn Hayslip. The ladies that attend are all artists that come from as far away as Australia. To say that I'm excited is not even expressive enough to describe my feelings. Not only am I excited, but I'm quite nervous as well. These ladies, several of them, have been published in magazines for their art work. And I will be learning from them for the next few days. To say that I am blessed is an understatement. Hubby worked overtime hours to afford me to go and I'm so blessed that he supports me in my creativity. So, wish me luck and I will be sure to post pictures of the beautiful fall colors, the Biltmore home, and all of my new friends.
This blog post is a promise I made to you last week. The room is coming along quite nicely, and I can invision Paris in the distance....
This is the HUGE closet... Hubby put in pocket doors to save space in the room.
Wall board is going up, including the ceiling. We had thought about a tin tile ceiling, but decided that we didn't know as much as we wanted to prior to installing the product, so we just did a basic ceiling...
Some mudding and taping... We are NOT professionals!
I know this isn't much, but stay tuned for next week when I show you some more pics of the room. I think you are going to love it.
I'm linking up to Metamorphosis Monday on Between Naps on the Porch. You know how I love Susan's blog. I hope you all have a terrific week and thanks for checking out our metamorphosis!
