Always metamorphosing...

I love participating with Between Naps on the Porch's Metamorphosis Monday.  I think it's a GENIUS idea.  I cannot wait to be able to meet Susan at the Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain, Georgia on October 22nd!  Yes, it's my 28th wedding anniversary, but... but... It's Susan at Between Naps on the Porch!  What's a girl to do?

Because my hubby and I are forever remodeling our home, it's quite easy for me to participate.  There is always something going on!  In fact, he and I both talked about what to do next and I told him I wanted to slow it down a bit and put some money in savings.  Today, he started saying "well, I can use the left over sheetrock to frame out this room...."  It just never ends...  I am so blessed to have a guy that likes to remodel and is so good at it.  I think I'll keep him for awhile longer...

So what are we working on now...

A bedroom in the basement!  The upstairs bedrooms are quite tiny.  So, with our college daughter living at home, we decided we needed one more room that's a little larger.  Hubby and I have been working on it all summer and we are getting close to having it done.  He works lots of overtime, so there just aren't enough hours in the day.

I'm going to show you bits and pieces over the next couple of Mondays.  That way, you will have to come back because you are curious!

This pic shows the back side of the house and if you look at the 2 x 4s on the left wall, hubby hammered those in to close out the room.

This is the "ginormous" closet.... When I say "ginormous", I mean HUGE!  It is over 13 feet long and over 5 feet wide.  I told hubby to place the wall "here" and he placed the wall "there".  So darn it, there was nothing I could do once the wall was up.  The closet has pocket doors which is the 10 pane door you see here.  We did that to keep as much floor space in the actual room as we could.

This is me in my "wife beater" helping hubby put up insulation in the closet.... Attractive...

So... come back next Monday, and I'll show you a little more.  I'll entice you with:  hickory wood floors.... Paris theme... chandelier....

Curious?

See you next week on Metamorphosis Monday....  In the meantime, check out my blog for lots of entries this Fall!
