Shout out to my Mom who is having a birthday this weekend. I love you Mom! Wasn't it a glorious weekend in Georgia? I worked in the yard with my hubby this weekend and got quite a bit accomplished. The burn pile is still smoking this morning! I'm doing really well in my two college classes. They are nine weeks long and I'm almost finished. I have a 99.98% in one class (Communications) and 97.99% in the other (Cultural Diversity). Not too shabby from a girl who hasn't been in school for 6 years and has taken 28 years to finish her degree! I will start two more classes right after these finish. That's keeping me tons busy! But I digress...
I am part of the March Mingle at the Magnolia-licious blog at http://magnoliastamps.us/. It's my first participation in a group with any blog and I'm really excited! Those of us that have signed up create a card and we send it to another participant in the mingle. It's a great way to meet new people and to show off your talent. Plus, and most importantly, it gives us the ability to make someone's day by sending "real" mail. It's such a lost art. My Tilda is Strawberry Tilda (I believe that was her name). I colored her with my Copics using Suzanne Dean's (scrapbitz.blogspot.com) Distressed Ink process. I LOVE watching Suzanne's videos. She's so talented and I hope to be maybe 1/10th as talented as she is one day. The Distressed Ink coloring has a Scandanavian look where it's a little grungy on the edges and light in the center. I used Copics to color her (B91, B95, E31, E29, E25, E13, E11, E00, G20, Y21, Y00, R00, R20, YG63, W3, W1, C1, 0). The DP I used was from My Minds Eye, Out and About and Laundry Line. I took three brads and colored them with my green Stickles. Added some green ribbon and voile! I'd love to know what you think so drop me a comment. Have a great week!
