Hello Friends!

I know, I know... it's been awhile... I technically took the summer off... But not really... Let me explain... I had Math 209 class... It kicked my butt...  So, it's a 5 week class, and basically, I was up to my eyeballs in logarithms...  It sucked!  But, I'm finished and I'm ready to get back to "normal" living!  My next class starts on Tuesday, so here's to an easier go at it!

To make matters worse, I had surgery on my right heel and before I made it to the 3rd week of healing, I "rolled" my left ankle.  According to the doctor, it's a #3 sprain, which is the worse.  It was REALLY bad.   So, no walking on the rolled ankle, but painful walking on the surgical heel... I have been sitting on my butt since June 15th!  Okay, that's an exaggeration too.  I have done some moving around.  Today, August 29th, I was able to take a walk outside for exercise!  It felt great!  It's been a long, immobile summer!!!

Back to business...  As you have hopefully seen in my earlier post, my hubby and I are remodeling our basement.... We have always loved working on our houses, and this one is no exception. When we moved in, the basement was a complete layout of our upstairs, except the previous owners had closed in an area for a catering business.  We promptly changed that room to my studio area and are working on getting it just right.  More photos later as we improve that space.  As the same time, we needed a bathroom down here and a larger bedroom for my college daughter, so we are building a bedroom and have almost finished a bathroom.   Today, I'm showcasing that bathroom!  It's gorgeous, if I say so myself!  I'm joining Metamorphosis Monday and Amaze Me Monday to show off my hubby's talent for his "hobby"....

The bathroom was based off of this picture...  The color of the wall and the chandelier...  Unfortunately, we bought the chandelier, but it just won't fit in a basement bathroom... It hangs too low, so we are re-purposing it elsewhere....  I'll show you that later...

This area was plumbed and that was it...  My hubby did all this work himself... Here he is grouting the finished tile surround....

He even created me a "nook" for my shampoos!  He's awesome!  And tall....  ;-.)

This is my brand new linen closet!  As a organize freak, I LOVE closets!

Okay, okay, it's not organized YET!  Remember, I had bad feet!!!

This is the Pergo flooring going in.. It was on sale!

Here are my shower fittings... Aren't they beautiful!  I just love rubbed bronze....

The mirror and vanity...

And now for the finished pics!  It's so beautiful!  Hubby took this pic by raising up his arm... See, told you he was tall!

If you look closely in the mirror, you can see we have some touch-up painting to do!

And a light bulb to change, evidently...

I hope you enjoyed our makeover.  We sure do!
